Noble friends, Greetings.
This morning the BBC had an interesting commentary/analysis on the
endurance of the King Arthur legend:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-13696160 . The commentary includes
some quotes from Monty Python's Terry Jones. Some food for thought here
about symbols of a "golden age", which in some ways relates to our
recreation of the "good parts" of the middle ages. A really nice photo
of Glastonbury Tor opens the article.
What isn't mentioned is that even we Scots make a claim on Arthur
(however spurious). Otherwise, why is one of the hills in Edinburgh
called "Arthur's Seat"?
Kind regards,
Lord Mungo Napier, That Crazy Scot
