Friends,
Springfield is the most over-used town name in the United States, with
at least one town of this name in at some 30 states. Wisconsin has FIVE,
and several other states have two. Must make things fun for the postal
people. One reason is that there are at least 14 places with this name
in the UK (including one in Scotland!), which probably contributed
settlers to many of the early Springfields over here.
