There are two "Elgin"s within 50 miles of each other in South Carolina.. I've actually drove through PA.. there are A LOT of Franklin Townships..

Without rancor, there is also a Rockville in NY, CT, SC, and IN. It
was a valid question.

For some reason there isn't a College of Heralds in the modern world
to keep people from giving all their towns the same exact name. (Want
a better example? Drive through PA and count the number of "Franklin
Township" signs you see. They are NOT the same place.)
