I am absolutely thrilled that you will be at A30 and would love the opportunity to sit and talk with you a bit and learn more about "times gone by" from one that knows Atlantia well.

Greetings,
With all of the discussion about why people leave and why people stay, this
seems an opportune time to let folks know that there will be a special
Chatelaine's Seminar Day - a series of classes on recruitment and retention.
This series of classes has been developed over the past 18 months and has
been delivered around the Knowne World - nine Kingdoms so far. You do not
need to be a Chatelaine to participate in these classes. In fact, I
encourage anyone who's interested in growing our Society to attend. The
classes will be held on the Sunday of Atlantian 30 Year.
11:00 am - 12 noon - How to be an Effective Chatelaine 102: The advanced
course
Being a chatelaine is not just about giving demos and holding newcomer
meetings. Learn the tips, the tricks and the things that can trip you up.
12:00 noon - 1:00 pm - Growing the SCA 2.0
Learn why everything you think you know about recruitment and retention just
might be wrong. What works, what doesn't. And yes, we'll be talking about
those census results..
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm - Society Chatelaine Roundtable
This is your chance to share what your observations are, what you see in
your local group and Kingdom. Ask questions, bring concerns, and talk about
solutions.
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm - Transplanting in the SCA
Think welcoming a transplant in your midst is just like welcoming any other
newcomer? Think again. Learn why you need a different mindset for this
type of newcomer in your Kingdom.
3:00 pm - 4:00 pm -- Communication for Chatelaines
Making a difference in a local group takes the effort of the whole group.
Learn how to get people listening, how to motivate change, and how to deal
with obstacles. Learn the skills that will make you effective at making
change.
With all of the enthusiasm I am seeing on this list for recruitment and
retention, I am looking forward to seeing you all there!
Yours In Service,
Luce Antony Venus

so esa, baby addison, and i are coming to 30 year. we really look forward
to going to event back home and seeing folks despite the terribly long trip
in the car.
to that end i wanted to ask that anyone who wanted anything from the armory
please contact me directly and let me know what i should bring. we are
trying to make the trip in the wee little honda crv instead of dragging the
big 3500 series ram van with us. so, if you need lamellar, aluminum or
stainless hilts, spears, spear tip kits, camp furniture, etc please just
drop me an email so i know and can pack accordingly.
looking forward to seeing everyone!!

Actually, there is additional information on this vital topic in at
least two sources:

transcribed by Knight, Damon. New York, 1950. [Original versions

Nope, there is never a need for boredom in the SCA. Yes, we have to
take breaks form time to time, but there are so many ways to have fun
in this game. Thanks for hanging tough. :)

The preliminary schedule for Atlantia 30 Year has been posted on the event
website. Updates will be posted as they become available.
Not preregistered yet? There is still time. Remember that rates at the door
are higher, and that meals are pre-reg only!

Would anyone happen to have Bryce's phone number? It is listed incorrectly
in the event listing and I need to get in contact with him.
Thank you,
