Passing the word along... And please feel free to share this across the lists to anyone interested in the scribal arts....

Gilded Greetings Unto All!

As
Pennsic preparations are falling upon many of us, once again planning
our annual pilgrimage for the wonders that await us all at Cooper's
Lake Campground, so too do the scribes and friends of scribes prepare
once more to Gather in the fair lands of the Kingdom of Æthelmearc.

Thanks
to the generosity of Their Majesties Lucan and Jana, The East Kingdom
is pleased to host this year's Known World Scribal Gathering at Pennsic
in the East Kingdom Royal Encampment, on Monday, August 8, 2011, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
(For those concerned, the A&S Display at the barn begins closing
down at 3pm the same day. We apologize for the overlap with the
Aethelmearc Scribe's Tea due to slim scheduling choices).

As with
previous years, the Gathering is a social occasion for calligraphers,
illuminators, authors, and artisans who contribute their time and
talent into the production of various award documents/scrolls to get
together, network, make new 'pen pals', and ogle each others portfolios
while light refreshments are served. All are welcome, from newcomer to
veteran, for a moment to put the faces to the names we often speak to
across e-mail lists, and share in a moment of pure love of the scribal
arts in general.

If you wish to volunteer or contribute toward
the Gathering (logistics, food, setup, breakdown, etc.), please see
this year's Coordinators, Lady Honig von Somer, and Mistress Carolyne
de la Pointe. Both may be reached at scribe.north (at) eastkingdom.org.

Thank you, and safe journeys to all!

Yours In Service,

Mistress Kayleigh McWhyte, OL
East Kingdom Tyger Clerk of the Signet
