Sigh. Years ago, I had a file and a section in the Florilegium for  
HANDICAPS.

I got taken to task for that, and was told that the preferred term was  
"Disablilties" not "Handicaps", for similar reasons as explained  
above. So I changed both the file name and the section name.

I guess before the complaints I had thought of things the way Gerita  
is. Argh! People, make up your minds! :-)

And yes, I've always been "handicapped"/"disabled" etc, my best eye is  
20/200 with glasses. From birth. I've also been a Type I diabetic  
since 1976. On the otherhand, I qualify for MENSA. So?
