im happy to be involved in your quitting and i probably ate your baby!

i do try to remove emotion from any debate.  i fail, at times, to do so.  i
am often the "bad guy" for not considering peoples emotional attachments to
debates.  im trying to learn to consider them but its not the way i was
taught discourse and certainly goes against the way i was raised.  i was
raised, and fully believe, that words only have as much power as you (we)
give them.  many folks feel that words, or differing opinions, can actually
cause them harm.  im learning recently that i am somewhat "passive
aggressive" thanks to my brother sir theron (bastard!).  so im working on
understanding that as well.

my logic, which is not only unflappable but dead sexy!, doesnt always give
with other peoples logic (or their emotions).  but i rarely mean to
belittle/attack/insult the person i am really trying to engage in candid
discourse.  some folks assume that its an attack which saddens me.

Yep. That's why I quit the SCA. It's all Logan's fault. I can't remember
anything he might have done but I am gone and everything is Logan's fault,

i dont think hrm trimaris is on the merry rose since her words were
forwarded.

that said, is the poster not worth consideration?  what i mean is why is her
post simply "nonsense"?  what if its true?  what if hrm of trimaris is a
total sh!thead?  having someone win a crown with you doesnt make you beyond
reproach.  with the posts of nasty comments to trms of atlantia on this list
being posted without such simple denials of validity im confused.  a few, in
fact, have come from this very thread.  someone posts their opinion (or
perhaps a fully accurate quote) about the partner of someone who won a
tourney in some other place and suddenly folks discount the comment?  odd.
little defense, of this nature, has been offered on this list for trms of
atlantia.  folks making claims of "tin hats" (which is a really insulting
term) being disillusioned and destined for self-rule in a defunct sca go
without condemnation.  yet, if someone posts a negative opinion, or perhaps
states a simple fact, about someone else and folks show their discontent?

that said, ive met larissa and i do not think the claim against her is of
her nature.  if she made a comment like this i fully suspect that it was
taken out of context.  she is my queen and i personally have some issues
with her.  still, i do not believe that she would ever think or feel the way
she was portrayed.  it is possible that she was accurately portrayed but
given what i know of her and what she asked to be forwarded i think its safe
to assume a misunderstanding, a misquote, or perhaps a vicious attack
without merit.

Please do not trouble yourself over this nonsense. We have our own few
"instigators" on this list and are thus accustomed to the occassional troll.
We consider the source - and anyone who publicly takes cheap shots at the
Crown in such a distasteful manner is not considered credible. They are
disregarded out of hand.

I am sorry you were brought into this and that it affected you. Its
nonsense.
