Well, the water at Cooper's Lake passes the test required by the G'ment for
potable water. If you are sensitive to what is in it, you'll have a
reaction*, if not, not.
Practising sanitary precautions while camping with a bunch of other people
from all over the world is a good idea. To heck with blaming it on the water
- none of us have been exposed to all of the various virii (and such) that
everyone else has been.
And for goodness sake - *watch* the behaviour of the people who prepare your
food. It won't do you any good to carefully wash your hands & such if the
person who just made your meal doesn't. The food service folks are required
to, but your friends/hosts are not.

*We've been drinking it and cooking with it since Pennsic 20 with no ill
effects - although once sufficient ice is melted into one's water jug or
lemonade jug, there's not much well water left.
