[MR] Ice Castle: This weekend's weather, road conditions, and feast information

This Saturday is Ice Castle, in Newport, VA, in the Barony of Black 
Diamond. 

Yesterday's storm basically missed us.  We received only some rain and a 
dusting of snow.  The roads are clear.  Saturday's forecast is for a day 
in the 40s.

Join us for combat, games, A&S competitions--including a bardic 
competition, and feasting!

Tempt your taste buds with a taste of the exotic!  Feast spots are 
rapidly disappearing for the Ice Castle feast this weekend, January 29th.

There will be four courses, including dessert.  Selections are from an 
Andalusian Cookbook and include:
   
                Flatbread and Zabarbada (an exotic cheese spread made 
with onions and cilantro)

                Several meat dishes:  Thumiyya (a rich chicken dish made 
with garlic and almonds)
           
                Jimli (a meat dish with almonds and saffron)
               
                Mukhallal (a filling, flavorful stew seasoned with 
saffron and garlic)
              
                 Tafaya (tender lamb seasoned with coriander and onion 
juice)

                    For dessert:  dates and honey, honeyed rice, and more!
