 This happened in 2007!

But it is eerily similar to the manner of the death of Henri II of France.

This is what happens when you reenact without studying history:



"A HISTORY buff died after being speared as he re-enacted a joust for TV’s Time 

Team.

 

"Paul Allen, 54, was struck in the eye by a splinter of lance that pierced a 

slit in his helmet. An inquest heard yesterday that he was not holding his 

shield properly and his headgear was unsuitable for the C4 show’s stunt."
