Also please note that we DO NOT know what the response of those
witnesses was.  I heard a story of what I suspect was this incident
and my understanding is that the complainer WAS corrected by one of
the witnesses who pointed out that the specific cook in question was
right there.  I don't remember hearing what the response was and
frankly this has become the level of gossip so who other than those
involved actually knows anything for sure.

I actually think we should remove the specific instance from the
conversation - it doesn't matter what feast it was or who was
involved.  Her Highness's point works for all activities in the SCA
(and outside the SCA actually).  Remember how your words can cut and
think about who might be listening because you never know who is in
hearing range.

It's a shame though - that was a good feast and I LIKED that dish...
