Friends,
Ya know...it's really great being a part of such a great Barony, and that
becomes even more apparent when the group all pulls together to present an
event like the one we did yesterday. It made me proud to be a part of this
group!!

My main thanks (now I feel like an Oscar recipient!!) go to those who gave
up their time, both at the event and for days before, to present a feast
that seemed to be appreciated by all:

Ysabeau, George and Khadir who helped with the shopping last Saturday. For
those of you who don't know, we started at about 8:00 and got home around 5,
hitting places in Baltimore, Columbia and Laurel!

Rose, Adenwald, Ethan, Grace, George and Ysabeau who gave up their Sunday to
help with the pre-cook.

Gwenllian who hauled the stuff I needed for the precook over here despite
her having to work that day and coerced Michael to help.

Khadir, who left the kitchen in great condition for us to work
yesterday...and ahead of time!

George and Gwenllian who washed dishes ALL DAY LONG!

Tirzah, Ysabeau, Grendel, Christiana, and a lady who was at her first
Atlantian event (and whose name I cannot remember!) who helped cook the
feast, coming up with some creative solutions when it became apparent that
the rather addled head cook had forgotten several critical spices.

Rose and "Saint" Ro who expedited the plating and serving of the feast.

All those unsung heroes who cleaned up the kitchen after we finished. We
tried to keep at least the gear we used to prepare the feast clean so that
you'd only have to wash the serving stuff...I hope we mostly succeeded!

Our lovely Baroness, Lore...who despite all of the things she had on her
mind, thought to bring some of the knives from her kitchen to help alleviate
our problem with the disappearance of the knife box.

And, most of all, Phillip...my dear husband...who was there at every turn,
supporting me, listening to me kvetch, schlepping stuff and all of the stuff
that only the person who lives with the head cook could do.

My gratitude to everyone is overflowing. It was a terrific experience
though I'm pretty much wiped out today!

Again...thanks to all!!

Kiri
