[MR] Looking for a few good SCAdians!

Greetings -

I am organizing Newcomer's Point for Ymir, and we are really trying to make
new folks feel warm and welcomed.  Although many of us have been the SCA for
years, I'm sure we can all remember how uncomfortable and confusing our
first few events are.

When talking to new members or potential members, one of the things that I
often hear is that they are interested in learning about SOMETHING (sewing,
weaving, cooking, heavy fighting, rapier, whatever) but don't know who to
talk to.  That is where YOU come in!

I'd love to have a list of people at Newcomer's Point who are willing to be
a point of contact for our newest members.  "Oh, you're interested in
learning about medieval pottery?  Awesome!  Lord Joe Schmoe has been
studying pottery for a few years - here is his email addres!"  You don't
even have to be at the event!   I just need a few good souls who are willing
to be an email point of contact for our newest members as they start their
journey in the wild and wacky world of the SCA.

If you're willing to be one of those points of contact... please email me
off list with your name, email address, and areas of specialty.  Let's make
our newest members feel welcome.
