When we did the demo at the National Geographic Museum, I noticed that open leather bags were being used to display some pieces, and I thought "Nice touch." Then I read that there were several leather bags of valuables found in the Staffordshire Hoard and wondered if the bags were patterned on, or maybe even reproductions, of the bags found. You might check with museum staff. I wouldn't mind making one of those bags myself.
