Fen asked:
<<< I want to design and make a "game bag" or haversack type pack for
use on the?archery range.? Shoulder slung resting on left hip.?Would
prefer to fit it to my persona?(anglo-saxon 1000-1100AD)

I'm curious?about how common?these were for hunter?types (basic
peasant?gear?)?and any good resources you?may know of to start my?
search.<<<

Wow. If you've already got information that specific, you are way
ahead of what I've seen mentioned over the years, at least on the SCA
nets.

Here is what I've got in the Florilegium>
bags-baskets-msg (16K) 12/ 1/11 Items for carrying things in.
http://www.florilegium.org/files/ACCESS/bags-baskets-msg.html

p-backpacks-msg (35K) 9/14/98 Period backpacks, bags and carrying
baskets.

You don't seem to be talking about carrying stuff by animal, but here
is what little I've got on that as well.
p-saddle-bags-msg (12K) 8/ 6/11 Period saddle bags. The ways items
were carried on horses.

Of course more info is welcome.
