Personally, if it were up to me, anonymous comments should not be allowed. If you think your comment is something you should say, say it. Then have the guts to stand behind it. To do anything less is cowardly. 

If it's something that would be shameful being said aloud to someone's face, maybe it doesn't need to be said at all. And if it DOES need to be said, maybe the person needs to find a way to be tactful about it. 

And if they CAN'T find a way to be tactful about it, then maybe they ought not be judges. 

I'm not saying not to leave negative remarks if the need arises. But if you feel the need to be so nasty you're embarrassed to own your words, then you need to check yourself. This is not YouTube comments section we're talking about here. This is a polite society of like minded friends. 

Sorry, but this is a real pet peeve of mine.
