Fun Fact reply
I had several pints in that pub in 2000 with Henrik of Havn and master Arthur as well as sir Giles of redhugh and our ladies.
It was the eve before the re-enactment of the battle of hastings 2000.
I was a Saxon house carl four down from King harald Hadrata and wore a Markland leather/steel nasel helm.
Master Arthur was next to me and Henrik was a norman calvary man who charged us well marking and denting our shields with his spear.
The pub was great and we heard many a tale of the first SCA event and emuch early history of the dream....
Vivat senlac hill and battle abbey...
