Subject: [MR] OFFERED: Wooden container

Good people -
Regardless of hurricanes and earthquakes, mudane life goes on.
I have this . . . this THING, which is arguably period, and for which I have no use.
It's a wooden container (carved from a single piece of wood), roughly cylinderical but with curves and a fluted top.  It's about 5 1/2" high, 5 7/8" outside diameter.  Including the wooden top, it's 6 3/4" high.  There are no markings of any kind.  There's a very faint scent of tobacco in it.
It may have been used by my birthfather as a humidor for pipe tobacco.  It came from my parents' attic, and has not been used in at least the the past 40 years, probably not in the past 61 years.
I haven't attempted to find any documentation on it, since it was probably made during the (nineteen) forties.  OTOH, it is clearly within the capabilities of period craftsmen.
    Would anyone like it?
