We are out in Centreville. We really didn't get much of anything that
I saw except lots of rain, but we were far enough west to avoid the
worst of it (we only had a Tropical Storm warning out here). It looks
like the shear to the eyewall yesterday or the day before took a lot
of the energy out of the storm, from what had been predicted. Here's
NOVEC's map of current outages:

Much worse around the east side of DC:

Dominion power is showing quite a few outages in the path of the storm
and in Richmond:

Regardless, news from the in-laws in Newport News, VA, was good last
we had heard.

Metro appears to be running smoothly, except for Wheaton, on the Red
Line, where the entrance escalators are having problems:

I'm most worried about folks on the coast, with the storm surge, and
people near rivers, due to storm surge + flooding. Out here, though,
I think we got off pretty easy. There are still some winds whipping
around outside, but we have blue skies, and things don't look too
violent.
