[MR] hedgehogs?

Thank you, and to Mungo, who emailed me, on clearing up my ignorance  
on this.

Years ago when I was researching names and heraldry for my SCA  
persona, I learned that "Harris", my mundane last name came from the  
word for hedgehog, haries, or some such. But I'd assumed that this was  
just the European version of the porcupine.

There are some folks that say I resemble that hedgehog. Maybe it has  
some connection with my red hair.:-)  Perhaps I should have considered  
putting a hedgehog on my SCA cost-of-arms rather than a ram's head. :-)
