I usually work one shift at Troll, but when I heard that they were giving out a special token to people who worked two shifts, I made the effort and worked two shifts. I was delighted when I discovered that the portcullis token was made by our own Christopher MacConing whowas elevated to the Order of the Laurel at this War!!! (Vivant!) I even had the great pleasure of running into old friends from the East Kingdom at his Vigil.
I supervised two shifts at A&S Point, taught one class on the Bocksten Cote, spent a whole day on Artisan's Row sucking people into the wonderfulness that is Tablet Weaving, and another few hours down at Clan Prechain also talking about Tablet Weaving for their Early Period A&S Day. I had lunch with friends, partied in the Bog, sweated on the Serengeti, made lots of new friends, awoke early, listened to Maugie singing at the Beast & Boar, awoke late, got a ride back to camp from Duke Rurik Longsword (swoon!), and had an altogether fabulous time!! I also loved the cooler weather that came in during the end of the second week. And, wonder of wonders, I got packed up and out without getting rained on! Pennsic just doesn't get any better than that.
