Do you mean other than the ones that start various battles and such?

At one Pennsic, some years ago, I remember the joy of being in an  
early firearms class and actually getting to fire off one of the  
matchlocks? Small cannon on the end of a long wooden stock, which you  
lit off with a lit fuse.

More details, please. Was this with a straight razor? Or a piece of  
flint? :-)
Did he(?) draw any blood?

What was the weather like? I've heard almost nothing about this past  
Pennsic. Before Pennsic, it was expected to be one of the hottest.
