With all due respect, I find that position both confusing and detrimental to our future as a viable organization.  Nylon camp chairs, coolers, excessive belt danglies, cigarettes, cell phones, glasses and such already provide enough distraction that a small, possibly concealed camera and two guys talking would be a minor thing.

And technically, as a non-profit educational group, we aren't just doing it for ourselves. By no means should we become a ren faire (gaaah), but if we don't try to share our hobby with others effectively, it WILL shrink. Of course we don't need to grow indiscriminately, but we need to find new ways of inviting others in. I think a discreet web broadcast of a tourney would be a fine balance between sharing with others and maintaining our standards.
