[MR] Off the wall Idea

Friends,

Actually this is a wonderful idea, but might be beyond our capabilities.
But consider this: many media areas have a local public services channel
(yes, we have one here in Charlottesville, for example). These are
usually open to all community groups, though I'm not sure if there are
restrictions or costs--probably varies with the location.

Second point, as already raised: This is going to have to be carefully
orchestrated with our media relations people. There is likely going to
have to be a script, or at least a shooting script. Everyone will have
to sign releases. And yes, all or most aspects of the SCA should be
presented. Rather than an open tournament, perhaps it should be a
baronial-level project with using their own people for better control.

Finally, you are going to need a crew that can produce a decent film,
maybe not top professional quality, but at least highly-talented amateur
quality. And it will have to be edited, and properly sound-mixed. You
can bet our media people will demand to see the finished product before
it is shown to the public.

Anyone contemplating this should first check with our media relations
people for guidance.

Best of luck. May I have a copy for serving as your advisor? :~)

Kind regards,

experience in media relations)
