Come to Sapphire Joust and bring your swords. You'll need them! I hope
you've found your summer fighting stamina, you'll need that too.

Here's the schedule for rapier combat:

Saturday

9am - MOL opens, authorizations and inspections

11am - Sapphire Joust tourney begins

I wouldn't want anyone to complain about not enough fighting so here's how
it will be held. There will be the now traditional 4 pools of rapier
fighters fighting in a round robin style. Each pairing will fight to two
losses by one of the fighter. Double kills are a loss for both. At the end
of the set of fights, both fighters will go to the MOL and report their
points. So you will get anywhere from 0 to 2 points per pairing. Given our
typical attendance, each fighter should get 15-24 fights, no matter what.

We'll advance the top two fighters from each pool into an 8 fighter single
elim tree. Each pairing of this tree will again be fought to best 2 of 3
with double kills being loses by both sides.

Do NOT double kill yourself out of the tourney and make me bring in the
Dread Lord Buy!

After SJ tourney, we will hold a Blacksword Tourney. Bring your Champion's
game!

Sunday

9am - MOL opens, authorizations and inspections

10am - Melee, melee, melee.

We'll start with quick scenarios and melee training to prepare us for
Pennsic led by myself and our baby FS, Armand. Come prepared to learn and
help others learn. We'll move on to larger melee events as the day
progresses. No stopping while someone can hold their sword up.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
