Noble friends,
Anyone interested in the history of pilgrimages will enjoy in this story
on the revival of the pilgrims' route across northern Wales:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-north-east-wales-13049125 . The
pilgrim way also has its own web site at:
http://www.pilgrims-way-north-wales.org/page6a.html .
It is particularly interesting that this apparently Anglican Church
project includes St. Winefride's Well, which is owned by the Catholic
Church (and is still an active pilgrimage site). Lady Sarah and I
visited St. Winefride's Well in 2004 and found it to be a very moving
experience. St. Winefride's Well has its own web site at:
http://www.saintwinefrideswell.com/about_the_well.htm .
Kind regards,
Lord Mungo Napier
