They're *both* correct.

One minor terminology note: the EMblazon is the *picture*. It sounds like you're asking about the blazon (text). That said, good question! SCA usage would use the phrase "a chevron Or cotised argent" as standard, but there are multiple ways to blazon the armory, and the English College of Arms has tended to use the "chevron between chevronels" pretty consistently these days (though not always throughout history).
