Unto Your Majesties Michael and Seonaid, Your Excellencies Geldamar and
Etain, the Triton Principal Herald, the Atlantian College of Heralds,
the populace of Atlantia and all who read this missive:
Greetings from Lord Cian mac Cellacháin hUí Dubhlaich, Gordian Knot
Pursuivant herald, and herald of record for the Baronial Court from
Feast of St. George in April, AS 45.
At the Feast of St. George, held in the Barony of Nottinghill Coill on
April 9, 2011, also known as Anno Societatis 45, Their Excellencies
Geldamar and Etain, Baron and Baroness of Nottinghill Coill, did process
into court.
Their Excellencies welcomed the populace and inquired if everyone had
enjoyed themselves. After an enthusiastic yes from the gathered
multitude, Their Excellencies then proceeded to speak of several matters
of State, specifically some news from Their Majesties.
The children of the Barony were called into court to select a toy from
the Baronial Toy Chest. Several of the children were mere infants, who
looked upon the toys with wide-eyed wonder.
Lord Elphin ap Daffyd was summoned before Their Excellencies. Lord
Elphin shuffled into court with his head held low, unsure of what he had
done, only to be reminded by Baroness Etain that he had asked for a
moment to address the populace. Visibly brightening, Lord Elphin did
then ask for Lady Arielle Benne Douw to be called forth into court.
Lord Elphin, speaking as a Provost of Atlantia, commended Lady Arielle
on her prowess with the rapier, and then presented her with a blue scarf
and made her a Scholar of the Academie d’Espee.
Lady Caitríona inghean Ghiolla Phádraig was ordered to appear before
Their Excellencies, where tales of her prowess upon the rapier field
were told. Their Excellencies did then elevate Lady Caitriona to the
Order of the Sword Knot. Captain Brandon Caiside stepped forward to
present Lady Caitriona with his own Sword Knot medallion. (Scroll by

Their Excellencies then bade all newcomers to come forth before Them.
The Baron and Baroness spoke Their thanks for the newcomer attendance at
the event, and proceeded to gift each newcomer with a bit of largesse
from the Baronial Chest so that they might remember their first event,
and return for many more in the future.
The autocrat, Lady Ursula, was asked to come forth into court to address
the populace. She
thanked her staff as well as the attendees, and then announced the
winners of the armored,
rapier, and archery tournaments, and presented them with their prizes.
Lady Millicent Shiveley was summoned from her A&S Baronial Champion
position behind the throne, and Their Excellencies did honor her for her
excellent work in the Arts and Sciences by inducting her into the Order
of the Coill’s Muse. (Scroll by Allesandra)
M’Lord Robert Long was called into court, but he was not present. A
representative was asked for, and Lord Jean-Claude de Lyon stepped
forward to receive Robert’s Archery Medallion from Baron Geldamar.
M’Lord Robert had distinguished himself upon the archery field, and had
attained the rank of Marksman.
Captain Brandon Caiside, Commodore of The Corsairium, was commanded to
present himself before Their Excellencies. Captain Brandon spoke of the
revival of the Corsairium, and was enthusiastic about the addition of 2
new ships to the Atlantian fleet. Captain Takeda Yoshinaka and Captain
Donngal mac Ronain were summoned forth, and their ships, the Ki-Ry-Yu
and the Sea Tiger (respectively) were officially commissioned.
Finally, Baroness Delia the Flammable was summoned before Baroness
Etain. Baroness Etain spoke fondly of Baroness Delia and her devotion
to serving her Barony, as well as her Baroness. Baroness Delia’s
willingness to go the extra mile assisting Baroness Etain had not gone
unnoticed, and thus Baroness Etain did present her with the Baronesses
Award of Courtesy. Loud “Vivats” were heard for Baroness Delia the
Courteously Flammable.
There being no further business, Their Excellencies did close Their
Baronial Court.
