[MR] Pearl Passport question

I've not yet seen one of these passports, but I was under the impression
that these would be passports for your Persona, not your mundane self. If
that is the case shouldn't the birthday be more like 1-Jan-1548 ?
And if it is a passport for your mundane self, why is it being pushed within
the "playable" area of an event?
