Unto all who share and practice the martial arts in chivalric tradition; 
The Free Shire of Roxbury Mill challenges to a combat of skill in an evening Pas d’ Arms on April the 30th .  
To be held at the hour of vespers (6:00pm) at the end of the Marshal Symposium. 
The challenge is to test and display the best chivalric martial tradition and romantic ideals.

Gentle combatants are to be tested in a series of single elimination combats with 5 good counted blows or touches as the winning result.  
There are three types of combat; Armored, Rapier and Cut/Thrust.  
Combatants may participate in one, two or all three disciplines.
 
Combatants shall use matched weapons of the same length and type in open combat within the confines of the list field.
 
Combatants shall be attired in appropriate period style, with all modern embellishments and accoutrements hidden form view.
 
All Armor if displayed shall be of good appearance and in good repair.
 
Weapons used during the day of training may be used.
 
Fencing masks shall be hidden using hoods, but may not have painted charactures or faces on them.
 
Weapons of combat are limited to;


Swords
Hand axes
Pole axes
Epees
Rapiers
Parry and defensive devices are limited to;

Matched main Gauche
Viking Round Shield
Heater
Norman
Bucklers of size and construction  per current SCA rules

Judging and counting

Event Autocrat
4 Highest ranked peers in attendance 
Two score keepers (not judges)

Awards will be given for

Best combatant 
Best period armor and attire 
Most Chivalric
