[MR] Seeking fighters/volunteers for the Children's Fete - Pennsic 40

Greetings! (please feel free to cross post this missive)



We are seeking the help of  some fighters for the foam sword fighting at the
Known World Children's Fete at Pennsic.

The Fete will be on August 10, 2011 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Barn.

We REALLY, REALLY need fighters to rotate in/out and assist with the foam
sword fighting with the kids!  I can honestly say the kids got a huge kick
out of “beating” his Majesty of Caid last year and it would be wonderful to
see more of our fighters come out and just offer a few minutes of time to
put a smile on the face of a young child.

You do not have to be there for the entire 3 hours... but any help you may
offer would be greatly appreciated. Last year we had approx. 400 children in
attendance, and we expected higher numbers this year for Pennsic 40!



The more volunteers we have, the more we can rotate persons in and out to
offer rest to those that are assisting with the activity.



Please continue to encourage and promote participation in the Children's
Fete! If you will be at Pennsic, but you had not previously volunteered with
the Children's Fete this year, we are asking you to please reconsider. We
would love to show the support of all Atlantians - and SCAdians as a whole,
at the fete this year.
