April 9th in Pickens SC, The Canton of St Georges will be hosting The Feast
of St George (In the past known as The Feast of the Dragon..We'll good St
George did slay that dragon so this year the honor is His).
Come and join us for fun, food, friendship, fighting and other words that
start with the letter F......such as Fashion Show...that's right. Lady Sybil
of Psaltery Dreams will be having a fashion show.
Rapier scenarios will be ran by our own Lord Antonio, we will again have the
battle against "The Dragon" where teams of two will face our dragon being
created by Captain Brandon, Lord Marcus and Lady Caitriona. Fear shall
shower down as Our Dragon will test every ounce of cunning your team can
muster.
Heavy fighting and Archery shall be within reach as well.
A fantastic feast is being prepared by Lord Bjorn Gunnbjornson and as our
local Viking is cooking you can best your sweet Mjolinir that there will be
meat a plenty.
The Menu is as follows: Beef Tips, pork and chicken in different
preparations with roasted potato's, breads and cheeses. A salute to springtime with fresh salad greens and then sliced fruit to be dipped in a cream cheese flavored with amaretto. A side of something chocolate to appease even a Valkyrie will also be made available.
A&S will be an open display. St George is the patron saint of many countries and cities throughout the world. He is also known to be the patron saint of soldiers. Anything pertaining to soldiers or even the crusades will be welcome as well as any other project you have been working on.
Site fee is $8 for adults ($5 for minors) and $8 for feast. We have only 40 seats for feast so please reserve early. (There is a $5 fee charged for non-members)
