Noble friends,
Today, 28 September, marks the landing of William of Normandy on the
Kentish coast, and the beginning of the Norman Conquest of England. For

Interesting to speculate on what England might have been if the
Anglo-Saxons had pushed William and his army back into the sea. It was a
close-rung thing, you know.
