The Barony of Storvik celebrated it's Birthday on the eighteenth day of
September, AS XLV. Their Highnesses Bryan and Brianna had been given leave
to open the court of Their Majesties Jason and Gerhild in those lands and
did so. They gave leave to Their Excellencies Rorik and Janina to conduct
some business of their own, which I am certain will be reported ably by
their herald, Master Ruadrhi an Cu. Sadly, Their Excellencies' court was
interrupted after a few short pieces of business by Their Excellencies
children who did bring with them the family lawyer, Master Igor Bear. It
seems that when Their Excellencies took up the reigns of the Barony, They
left behind a seneschal in Their ancestral lands who was robbing them blind
and the children were coming forward to complain of their inheritance being
wasted! After a moving argument, Their Excellencies had little choice but
to request that the Crown relieve them of the honor and the burden of
managing the Barony of Storvik so that they might set matters aright in
their home lands.
As Their Highnesses could not but accept that duty to family must come
first, Their Excellencies were relieved of their duties to Storvik and the
Crown. Janina was granted the title of Baroness of the Court. As Rorik was
already a Baron of the Court before taking up the reins of Storvik, he was
rewarded for his service with supporters of two Unicornate Natural
Seahorses.
Their Highnesses then called forward Lord William le Younger and Lady Sorcha
Crowe and charged them with the care of the Barony of Storvik, investing
them as Baron and Baroness of those fair lands. As there was no further
business to be conducted at that time, the court of Jason and Gerhild was
closed.
After a day of martial and other contests and merriment, Their Highnesses
did open once again the court of Jason and Gerhild to conduct some final
business. Baroness Cairistiona de Coueran was called forward to receive a
finely embroidered scroll for her Golden Dolphin, which had been awarded
some years hence by Michael and Seonaid but was delivered to the event. She
was then commanded to stay and inducted into the Order of the Coral Branch.
Breccan of Needwood forest was then called forward and recognized for
achieving the rank of Bowman Elite.
Lord Thomas Fitzcharles of Cheltenham was then summoned and awarded the
Fountain for his good work in support of his Barony. Lady Allesandra de
Venezia was called forward and then the Order of the Pearl came forward to
welcome her into their ranks. Their Highnesses did then summon the Order of
the Kraken and directed them to bring forward Lord William Shoprat, that he
might be recognized amongst them as a brother.
Lady Brienna Llweyllen Lindsay then requested a boon of Their Highnesses.
It seems that her lord, Gustav Emile der Dunkele Rotvogel, had been awarded
Arms nearly thirty years ago to the day. She presented him with a banner
bearing his arms which had been long in the making. Feeling that such
tenure in the Society was surely worthy of further recognition, Their
Highnesses then Granted him the title of Baron of the Court.
Their Excellencies William and Sorcha were then given leave to conduct their
own business, which once again will be reported ably by Master Ruadhri an
Cu. Following that court, Baron Siegfried and Baroness Francesca of
Highland Foorde did ask a boon of Their Highnesses. They then had Lord
Marcus Eukaryotic summed forward and delivered unto him the Coral Branch
which had been given unto their care for him at Highland River Melees.
As there was no further business to be conducted, Their Majesties' court was
then closed.
A separate report formatted for the Clerk of Precedence is being sent as
well.
