The lecture is being put on by the US Botanic Garden in Washington DC.  The Botantic Garden is just a couple of blocks from the Federal Center SW metro and very close to the US Capitol building. Please feel free to cross post!

Journey back to the Middle Ages to Learn the important role flowers played in medieval life, lore, and medicine. Discover the symbolic meaning of the blossoms scattered on the borders of an illuminated manuscript page, and which flowers and plants produced many of the pigments used by the illuminator.
