correct. the order of the chivalry in the sca is open only to those who
participate in fighting (for lack of a better term). i agree with you, and
have supported, the need to recognize excellence in target archery for the
amount of skill it takes to achieve certain levels of excellence. atlantia
already has that in the yew bow which, just like the order of the white
scarf for rapier and the kraken for fighting, is the pinnacle display of
recognized skill and excellence. so target archery is already rewarded in
ways comparable to rapier fighters, which you state as your concern.

Duke Logan, Greetings.
I fully agree with Your Grace that a peerage must earned, and probably
should be fairly rare. As I understand it, a path WITHIN our discipline
(as separate from service and research) is not available to archers,
but is to fighters in theirs. If I am correct that Your Grace is or has
been an archer, I am sure you will agree that great skill and much
practice is needed to achieve excellence in archery. So why shouldn't
such skill and effort among the best archers be rewarded in ways
comparable to heavy or rapier fighters? What inspiration for others to
excell!
Kind regards,
Lord Mungo Napier, That Crazy Scot
