Sorry for wading late into a discussion that already generated a lot of traffic. I apologize if someone else has already mentioned this (I am still wading through the messages).



One of the things I've often in other Kingdoms but not often in Atlantia is a Chatelaine's Booth. It was often placed right next to the Gate to allow Newcomers (or those wandering by) easy access to more information about the SCA, including local group contact/meeting schedule, etc. Some Chatelaines would also bring a tub of loaner garb for use during the event (asking that borrowers leave a driver's license to ensure it was returned), but that varied on the ability/willingness of the Chatelaine to schlep the stuff. It might be something to consider adding to our events.



And if I am simply such an "old-timer" that I am missing those chatelaines who DO put out booths, I do humbly apologize for my mad mistaking. And also apologies to those hard working Castellans who I seem to have entirely overlooked in this discussion. If I offend, I do beg your pardon,
