My Lord,
First, let me also welcome you to Atlantia! You bring a lot of good questions with you but I am going to address the ones concerning 12th Night, since I am the event steward for that event.  You do not have to worry about doing anything "wrong" as this is a fun gathering and although it is designed to be a Viking themed event, many, many folks will be wearing their chosen non-Viking garb.  Not a problem.  Enjoy the games, the fellowship and the food, as that is what makes this event so special.  It is a big holiday party and the Viking part is only to give it some direction, so please, come and enjoy!
As for your wife and her concerns about garb for this event.  Please do not spend a great deal of money on a pregnant outfit...we will be happy to loan her something for this event, if she would wish.  Please contact me off-list and I will discuss the options with you further.  Since you have a military email address (Semper Fi by the way) and I work at Camp Lejeune, we may be the very group you are looking for - The Barony of Raven's Cove is in the neighborhood.  Please contact me and let's see what we can do for you to make this event a special time for both you and your lady.  If you are located at another Marine base, we will get you to a group close by and get you started.  Many groups have loaner armor so that you can get started in heavy fighting if you wish and they will also help you construct your own armor, so that the cost can be controlled.
