So many people give their time, energy, and resources to every event that
it is difficult to single people out at any event's close. Indeed,
virtually everyone who comes to an SCA event immediately pitches in and
volunteers wherever they see a need. It is that spirit of volunteerism that makes
the SCA work and it is a joy to behold. To all of you, who gave of
yourselves at Coronation so that others could have a more magical experience in
these Current Middle Ages, THANK YOU!
I'd like to especially thank our Head Cook (and his impossibly
hard-working crew), Baron Þórgrímr inn Kyrri for his inspired feast, all culled from
foods mentioned in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.
Thank you to Lord Egill Gullbjarnarson and Lord Manus O'Kean and the many
others who helped organize the hall, including Lord Alriker der Drachae and
Dagr Blüdaxe. To Mistress Alisoun MacCoul of Elphane, Lady Cecilia
Blythe, Lady Muriele of Aberdeen, and Lady Prudence for their help with Troll.
To Mistress Iseulte of the Red Cliffs, Mistress Alesia Gillefalyn, Mistress
Morwenna Trevethan, Countess Kari Kyst, Mistress Anne of Carthew, Lady
Cecilia Blythe again, Lady Elizabet de Roslyne for their roles as Great
Officers both before and at the event. To Herrin Emeludt Hänsler for coming all
that way just to run the youth activities. To my awesome heralds: Talorgen
Hersir nepos Wrguist, Herrin Gisela vom Kreuzbach, Mistress Alisoun MacCoul
of Elphane, Master Eldred Ælfwald, Mistress Ealdthryth of Humberstone,
Baroness Tegan de Moreton, Baron Michael Batcock for their roles in Court and
the Coronation ceremony (and the consult table!). To my excellent M-i-Cs:
Baron Achbar ibn Ali, Baroness Etain of Sutherland, Lord Christophe of
Grey; and MoLs: Mistress Adeliza of Bristol and Mistress Ceridwen ferch Owain.
To Lady Megan of Tear-Sea’s Shore for her amazing Royal cabin decorations
(with Baronö Bessenyei Rozsa and Lord Christian Thomas of York), and to
Mistress Megara di Alessandra for her yummy scones... Thank you.
To Lady Caitilin MacDonoghue, Lord Edmund Hawkesworth, Maestra Julianna
Fiorentini, Baron Luqman al-Maghrebi, Mistress Rachel de Johnstone, Lady
Phillipa Suzanne of Andover, and Baron Wolfgang the Gamesman of Andover...
There are no words known to me that can adequately convey the love, respect,
and gratitude I hold towards all of you for your contributions to this
event. God bless you.
BRAN
