Umm I dont believe anyone is yelling... saying there is a lack of
blanks and/or OOAK blanks is not an insult on the scribal community
and if anyone is taking it that way than they are mistaken...I believe
the point that is trying to be made is like saying there isn't enough
chocolate in the world (because we all know we can always use more
chocolate!) or that there can never be enough because it is such a
great thing.

Sure its not easy being a scribe... but so is every hobby it seems
within the SCA. I'd like to see more scribes like the next person. I
want to do more to help but I am only one person... that's why I say
we should all work together. Moving parts with no squeaky
wheels...offer encouragement and resources for newer or wanna-be
scribes as well provide oppourtunities for veteran scribes to share
what they've learned... this does not mean we shackle a few scribes
together, shoove them into a cold, dark room or tent at events and
make them scribe until thier eyes bleed...I dont want that at all for
anyone including myself.

If you are a former scribe please re-join the ranks and if you cant
help out (ie medical reasons, etc) then maybe "sponsor" a scribe or
offer to give in some other way if it means. I think it would be great
to "sponsor" a scribe (if I wasnt already one) by maybe buying some
supplies, books (maybe even a location to scribble) for show of
support or appreciation to give to your local scribes guild...You can
also teach; events or demos!
