Good Morning Kind Gentles,
This fine morn finds me working on the class schedule for Nottinghill
Coill Try It/Newcomers Day. To my great shock, I have found there are
currently NO classes or activities planned for the marshaled activities of our fine
Society! What a shame this is indeed. Seems our A&S Folks have stepped
up and would carry the day alone. Surely the great Warriors of our fair
lands will not allow this to happen?! <grin - don't you just love a good
challenge?> So I say, who would step up on behalf of their displine to lead a
class, share their knowledge and/or show off their fighting kits and skill
with others, or to even marshal - so that all may see that our Barony and
Kingdom is made of many faucets, not just a few???
In this light, if you are interested in teaching a class or just showing
someone about your displine, please let me know. We are in serious need of
Marshals as well, so that pick-ups could take place as well as there will
be no organized tourneys. The plan is to have list fields set up for both
heavy and rapier and a field for archery as well. Thank you to all the
great Warriors and Marshal who step up and offer their time and skill, everyone
attending will greatly appreciate what you do!
And to the A&S Folks, there are still slots open for classes and areas for
display of your chosen field. We do ask that if you display to please
spend a little time there sharing your joy and knowledge of your art form
with those who attend. We thank you in advance as well for your help and
knowledge!
Please note that this Demo is open to all, both old hand and newcomer - be
you a citizen of Nottinghill Coill or of some other Fine Barony! The
purpose of this demo is help everyone find something they love within our
Society and/or to find our what we are all about. Garb is optional but
encouraged as we will have newcomers attending as well! Please feel free to cross
post to all lists as well.
