   I've had good luck with Sculpture House (www.sculpturehouse.com);
   reasonable prices,
   quick order turnaround & shipping.  Dick Blick and other art-supply
   houses also have soapstone;
   look in the sculpture/carving areas.
   Not affiliated, etc.  My 2 kopecks; hope it helps!

     Greetings yall,
     I was looking at trying my hand at doing some pewter casting with
     soapstone
     and was wanting to see if anyone knew of a good source to get the
     soapstone
     from.
     Found a few places but its all precut for counters or sinks etc
     Any info would be greatly appreciated
