Good Afternoon Dear Atlantia!

Please take a moment and see what great competitions are planned for 12th Night:

Tempore Atlantia - time frame 1492 - 1600

Open A&S - Viking Themed - "Things that would have been pillaged or plundered by the Vikings" Please, no livestock or captives.

Medallion Competition: Your Kingdom is in need of award medallions and I know that you want to showcase some of your workmanship, so here is another chance. Provide medallions in any medium for the Silver Nautilus and Coral Branch,in particular, but any other award would also be appreciated. These will be judged a prize will be awarded for the best in show. Of course, part of the purpose of the competition is to provide the Kingdom with awards, so please plan to donate the awards to the Kingdom for future use.

Youth A&S - Viking themed - for those that are below the age of 18. In an effort to instill a love of the arts in our younger members, I will be sponsoring a competition for any Viking-themed project done by our youth. Documentation is not required, but can be provided if wished and will really impress me!

Table-decorating competition: Viking-themed. To add to the ambiance of a large civic-center, I am asking that all who wish bring table decorations. The tables are rectangle and will seat 8 and will not have covers on them, so you will have a blank canvas to work with. Candles are allowed but MUST be in some type of glass container and flames cannot extend over the top (something like a hurricane lamp or like device).

Royal Bard Competition: Of course, 12th Night would not be complete without the Royal Bard competition. Check the website for details on the requirements for this very special competition. http://twelfthnight.atlantia.sca.org/twelfthnight/Activities.html

So, as you can see, there is something for almost everyone. If you have questions regarding the A&S competitions or anything to do with A&S, please contact Lady Derbhail ingen Lonan at darchalia at hotmail.com.

In the next few weeks, I will be posting other important information including the schedule of events, fighting-inspired games (yes, fighting, so plan on bringing some armor and weapons). The Barony of Raven's Cove looks forward to seeing all of you at 12th Night.

YIS,
Baroness Katharine de la Vache
