All -
A reminder that several businesses are "giving back" with
freebies for current/former military personnel. Here's a list of
those of which I'm aware; please feel free to cross-post and forward
as appropriate.
1) Most SUBWAY restaurants will give a free 6" sub
to all active/former military personnel today; present ID at counter.
2) Free overnight stays at hundreds of "Bed and
Breakfast" establishments for tonight (see
<http://www.gadling.com/2010/10/07/veterans-thanked-with-free-bed-and-breakfast-stays/>).
3) Applebee's Restaurants offer a free meal tonight
for current and former military <http://www.applebees.com/vetsday/>.
4) Outback's Steakhouse is offering free Bloomin'
Onion and beverage <http://outback.com/companyinfo/thanksforgiving.aspx>
5) Krispy Kreme is offering a free doughnut
<http://investor.krispykreme.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=422165>
6) Last but far from least, Golden Corral is
offering a free buffet dinner -- and their buffets are
OUTSTANDING! Golden Corral started this whole "payback" thing, and
this is their tenth year doing so. NOTE: This offer is good for
Monday November 15th, not today. Presumably, they realize that we
are overwhelmed with offers for this evening. See
<http://www.goldencorral.com/military/>.
Thanks for your service, my brothers and sisters!
