[MR] To the fighters this weekend

As some of you have heard, Master ArnBiorn will not be able to make it to
Sapphire Joust this weekend and someone else will have to step in at the
last minute to be the Marshal in Charge. I know Arn well enough to know that
once he regains consciousness the very first thing he will ask me about is
if it was covered and if it went well. So I write to you with a plea...

Be as patient and as chivalrous as you are in your dreams, this weekend.
Hold to your highest honour. Give aid to the people making the event run,
and smile at all of those who are there to cheer you on. 

And then come back and write about your weekend, so he can be reassured that
his illness did not detract from a glorious event. I promise to print out
and bring to him every story that is posted. But most of all, what I'd like
to bring to him is the report that the marshals, MoLs and fighters all said,
"That was what a fighting event should be like - joyous, hard-fought, and
shining in chivalry".

I almost lost him last night. And in thinking about that, it brought home to
me yet again how very much he loves our hobby and the ideals it embodies.
