The Roma of the SCA are grieving the loss of one of our own, Old Marion, of Stonemarche. Posting here to get the word out to all who knew her.
She will be missed.
Latcho Drom,
Rani Dulcinaya the 'Gypcian
With regret I pass on this sad news from my local list.

Since this was posted on the open Carolingia list, I don't think I'm violating anyone's privacy by posting here, and I'm sure there are many folk in Stonemarche who are friends of Marian and would like to know.

Why, if 'tis dancing you would be,
There's brisker pipes than poetry.
Say, for what were hop-yards meant,
Or why was Burton built on Trent?
Oh many a peer of England brews
Livelier liquor than the Muse,
And malt does more than Milton can
To justify God's ways to man.
Ale, man, ale's the stuff to drink
For fellows whom it hurts to think:
Look into the pewter pot
To see the world as the world's not.
