As Duchess Rachel said in her post a landed Baron/ess IN THEIR OWN BARONY
_does_ outrank the Prince/ess, though not outside their territory, according
to long established SCA precedent. Our authority come directly from the
Crown. I agree with her that the political reality though means that the
Baron/ess also would be somewhat of a fool to push the fact.
