Gregory, Suzy and friends,

I received a used copy of the first edition of DAILY LIFE IN ELIZABETHAN
ENGLAND earlier this week. My copy cost about $27, and came from a used
book vendor, though it was ordered through the local Barnes & Noble
store. It is actually a discarded library copy, but in very good
condition. Although it lacks the up-to-date web links of the 2nd
edition, I am extremely pleased to have the book in my library. I wish
there was a similar book for 15th century Scotland.

As for the author Jeffrey Signman/Forgeng, I was watching a rerun show
on the History Channel's MODERN MARVELS about "things that cut" a few
days back, and he was doing the commentary on the history of swords. I
wonder if he is still active in the SCA.

Kind regards,

Mungo Napier, Archer of Mallard Lodge
