[MR] Moose Tale Collegium and Tourney, April 17

The Barony of Highland Foorde, with the interest group of Griffinsdale, invite all to join us to celebrate the arrival of spring and the search for our moose with a day of fun, merriment and even education.

Education: A variety of classes are being planned, including pattern-making, pottery, wire weaving, sewing, and hands-on blacksmithing throughout the day. A schedule will be posted.
 
Lady Jacintha will be running children’s activities, and has Pages Academy classes scheduled.
 
Martial activities: 
Heavy: Lord Gerhard is planning a Novice tourney as well as a separate bearpit tourney for the more experienced fighters. Melees may take place later in the afternoon as time allows. Contact Gerhard at: scapup at yahoo dot com.
 
Siege: Baron Jonathas is planning to teach a Crew/MiT class in the morning, and there will be siege activities after, and possibly siege during the heavy melees.
 
Archery: A moose hunt is planned for the archers.
 
Rapier: Mixed weapons tourney, and melees later in the day.
 
A&S: 
Challenge:
"Ode to the Mythical Moose, Grand Gryphons and Handsome Hawks" is our theme. Bring a display that meets one of the following challenges:
Clothe the beast - clothing and accessories celebrating one or all of our beloved beasts.
Feed the beast - Food and drink celebrating one or all of our beloved beasts.
House the beast - Household accessories celebrating one or all of our beloved beasts.

There will be a bardic challenge in the evening after feast, Ode to the Mythical Moose led by Lady Swannoc.
