[MR] BBC story: French "piedfort" medallion found in England

Noble friends,

I had never heard of a "piedfort", a coin-like commemorative token (not 
unlike some of the entrance tokens we use at tournaments). The one in 
this story dates from the 1300s. So here's another very interesting 
aspect of the middle ages we've probably never encountered. Here's the
